The series also includes annotated questions from mathematics, science, engineering, and drawing exams, as well as documents detailing academic standing and awards, newspaper clippings about student life, and registration information.

Records consist of newspaper clippings, articles, speeches, research on tunnels and tolls, Quebec legislation, reports, administrative documents and correspondence. The materials are from MacLeod’s time on the Montreal Municipal and Economic Councils. The included Quebec legislation mainly consists of Bill 100 and documents and by-laws related to permits, public halls, and construction across the city. The series also includes administrative documents of both committees, such as a list of members, meeting minutes, and votes. The correspondence relates to Canadian public transportation and traffic issues in Montreal, as well as the development of the Victoria Bridge. Additionally, there is an enclosed picture of the St. Lawrence River overlaid with a sketch of the proposed Victoria Bridge from the firm Monsarrat & Pratley.

The meeting minutes are from Gordon MacLeod Pitts’ time on the Building Committee, the Gymnasium Fund Committee, and the Real Estate Investment Committee. These committees generated blueprints and building plans, correspondence about the proposed ice rink, stadium, and gymnasium for McGill, as well as documents relating to the gymnasium design competition. The series further includes correspondence from Pitts’ time on McGill’s Executive committee discussing land use, invitations to events, courses, parking, and McGill buildings.

Records include the Graduates’ Society’s radio and event programs, organizational and financial documents, photographs, meeting minutes, correspondence and newspaper clippings. The radio and event programs broadly consist of speeches, a list of speakers, correspondence inviting participants to join or speak. There are documents pertaining to the Society’s finances, events, speeches, membership reports, the history of the Graduates’ society, and information concerning World War II. Also included are meeting minutes and newspaper clippings about the activities of the Graduates’ society or achievements of McGill faculty members. A high volume of documents pertains to the reunions of the McGill Science class of 1908, including photographs of McGill campus and the class, dinners, organizational correspondence, and requests for donations.

The Gordon Macleod Pitts fonds comprises mainly of material from his years at McGill University, particularly as a student of architecture, and includes architecture course notes, sketches, and annotated examination questions (1905-1916). Other records consist of an undated and unpublished illustrated essay on the History of the Buildings of McGill University including photos, sketches of the buildings, newspaper clippings (1911-1912), correspondence, blueprints concerning a proposed McGill skating arena, the Montreal Neurological Institute, and other McGill buildings (1934-1955). Two scrapbooks for the ’23 class of McGill Medicine including photos, newspaper articles, correspondence (1948-1952), as well as letters relating to the Graduates’ Society and the McGill News (1931-1935) are part of the collection. There are also several reports of McGill’s Building Committee and Real Estate Investment Committee.

The correspondence is primarily expressing concern about Quebec's 1949 Bill 200 (the proposed change in definition of a professional engineer, which allowed non-architects to design buildings and infrastructure). The series also includes documents from the Quebec Association of Architects, the Engineering Institute of Canada, the Professional Engineers of Quebec, and the Association of Professional Engineers of the Province of Manitoba. Related documents include the code of ethics, the menu and program from a banquet, various correspondence, financial information, and the list of members. Additionally, a photograph of Professor Robert Edward Jamieson is enclosed.
