The nodular peribronchial sclerosis is remarkable. Osler did describe it in a case of black small-pox in a miner in 1875. Asks his opinion on a question asked by a man working with Haldane, whether a lung ever cleared itself of the dust. Of course, he knows that old miners expectorate coal dust to the end.
