Letter to Archibald Byron Macallum from William Osler, 13, Norham Gardens, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Remsen, Gotch's assistant in Oxford, is a Fellow of Pembroke. He might be considered for the Chair of Pathological Chemistry. Good comment about him. Asks him to let him know when his steamer arrives. He is going to Scotland for August , but will be back early in September. Gives his opinion on the Edinburgh Lord Rectorship. It is a doubtful matter, political feelings are high, and the independent candidates has no chance. Asks him to wire him from Liverpool and invites him.

Letter to Archibald Byron Macallum from William Osler, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. Sorry that he had troubles about the subsidies. An erroneous impression got abroad the B.A.A.S. experiences. Adami told him that Aschoff has taken his passage (Toronto meeting). Good word about him. MacKenzie will look after him. Aschoff's traveling expenses should be paid by the comity. Gotch will not come. Horsley will be there. Mention that Whitney had proposed to Osler to be President but he refuses because he pretends having no special executive ability. Proposes Macallum instead or Garrens.
