Shepherd informs Cushing that Charlie O'Reilly, a graduate of McGill, is still alive and living in Toronto. Osler often spoke of Dr. Hamilton of Dundas. Osler wanted to buy Hamilton's door and put it in the Medical Museum. Shepherd praises Maude Abbott's Bibliography.

Abbott responds to Cushing's request for autopsy records, which will provide information on the date of Osler's appointment as Pathologist. She has written to Dr. Shepherd regarding the E.Y. Davis [Osler's pseudonym] articles. Dr. Shepherd thinks that Osler was in charge of the smallpox wards in Montreal for two to three years, starting in 1876. She writes of her Osler Bibliography. Letter to Harvey Cushing from R.Tait McKenzie, 2014, Pine Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Letter dated December 21st, 1920. Resumes the letters he received from Osler. As described on p. 495, in volume II, Osler wrote him during his early work with the War Office in the establishment of command depots for the re-training of wounded preparatory for their return to active service. He also mentioned a card about a statue he made of Capt. Drummond. Osler urged him to collect and write up his work for a war museum. Mentions a Case of a man from Khanawake (Caugnawagha) studied by Egerton Y. Davis. McKenzie's last visit to Osler was in 1916.

Malloch(?) responds to Cushing's request for information on Osler's life in Montreal and the "footing dinner." He quotes Dr. Shepherd's description of the dinners and hopes to get further information from Dr. Roddick.

Letter to Henry Barton Jacobs from William Osler, University Club, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He had a strenuous time in Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Buffalo and Toronto. Had a great day at Harvard Medical School, where he sat between the out and the in President. Had a good talk with Lowell about the School and the Hospital in Brigham. Osler made his point that a close affiliation and a joint appointing board was absolutely necessary. There are friction between the M.G.H. and the B.C.H. men about a new large General Hospital. Went to M.G.H. and at Mt. Kisco with the Brewsters. Cole and the new plans of the Rockefeller appear to fit each other. News of Flexner and Mitchell. Kind comment on Miss Noyes. W.W. Francis and Marjorie Howard will come over with him. W.W. Francis brought his new edition. Praises the new buildings at McGill.

Letter to Henry Vining Ogden from Marian Francis, 66, McGill College Avenue, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Francis reports that Osler has just returned from Washington, Philadelphia and New York. While he disliked Washington, he loved Philadelphia. Ogden is sorely missed at McGill. She mentions Mr. Cantlie.
