He acted as god-father to Marian's baby, baptized earlier in the week. He is glad to hear that Frank returned home safely. He has been boarding with a nice fellow named Henderson. He gives his address at 48, St. Urbain Street. His Dutch is not progressing as rapidly as he hoped.

Letter to Edmund Osler from Walter R. Baker, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Provides information of "Baby on the Track" story, information that had previously been sought by William Osler himself. Osler had apparently seen the woman and baby after the incident and believed their story provided a crucial example for medical jurisprudence.

Letter to Edward A. Sharpey Schäfer from William Osler, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Osler would like to spend three months in Germany over the summer and would like to plan the return trip with the Schäfers. Arrangements for a meeting of the profession in Canada in August. Osler is glad that Cameron is with Schäfer at University College. Mills is in Strassburg [sic] for five or six months. He mentions John Sharpey.

Burdon-Sanderson has written to say he will attend. Osler will leave for Germany on the 26th. He remarks that Bowditch and Warthin's laboratories are the only good ones on the Continent. He has asked Prof. And Mrs. Morse to look after Schäfer while he is in Montreal.
