Fonds contains the final manuscript of Paediatrics in Canada, a text on the 6th Field Ambulance, C.E.F. by Graham Ross and a review of three cases of hyper-vitaminosis syndrome, with four X-rays from the Department of Pathology of the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The fonds documents Dr. Hamish McIntosh's activities while studying medicine at McGill University from 1939 to 1943. The fonds contains his notes.

The fonds primarily reflects Pappius’s activities as a researcher at the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital (MNI/H): both her experimental research as such and various support activities, including academic publication, coordination of research projects with colleagues, and acquiring funding. It also contains much information about her leadership of the Clinical Neurochemistry Laboratory. The fonds contains smaller amounts of documentation regarding her activities as a professor at McGill University, her administrative roles at the MNI/H, and her participation in professional organizations, which reflects the smaller place that those roles occupied in her professional life.

The period of time best documented in the fonds spans the early 1980s to Pappius’s retirement in 1995. Correspondence with colleagues, mostly though not exclusively work-related, contains relatively more material from Pappius’s early career; although, here too, most of the material dates from the 1980s and after.

The main document types in the fonds related to Pappius’s research activities are experiment worksheets and printed tabular research data. Many of the research-related files contain negatives of autoradiographies, with a smaller number of photographic prints. Correspondence can be found in many series besides series F (Correspondence), as much of Pappius’s work was collaborative in nature.

The fonds is divided into eight series: (A) Research, (B) Academic events, (C) Teaching, (D) Administrative activities, (E) Professional organizations, (F) Correspondence, (G) Personal collections, and (H) Visual documents.

The collection consists of seven volumes of Elliott's personal diaries, which were bound together, at his own expense, after their completion. These diaries cover the five-year period that Elliott spent serving overseas, primarily in England. The contents of the journals include handwritten entries, sketches and watercolours that were either executed in the pages of the diary or pasted in, and photographs, newspaper clippings, letters, playbills, menus and other paraphernalia that were also pasted into the diary. These serve to document both the development of the war and Elliott's personal experiences. The diaries are generally in chronological order although there are places, particularly in the last three volumes, where the diaries have been bound out of sequence.

The fonds also contains several folio sheets of photographs and clippings regarding Elliott's career.

Fonds shows H.R. Griffith's papers and records pertaining to his introduction of the homeopathic remedy curare into anesthesia. The fonds contains correspondence, case records, and reprints, as well as the minute book of the Montreal Homoeopathic Association, 1863-1968.

Collection consists chiefly of photographs of Harold N. Segall, Assistant Professor of Medicine at McGill (1949-1960) and President of the Canadian Heart Foundation, Montreal Cardiac Society, and the Quebec Heart Foundation, as well as his parents, brother Jerry Segall, friends, and colleagues. Photographs depict Segall's childhood and early career. There are also some photographs and textual records relating to Segall's association with professional societies and Montreal hospitals, namely the Canadian Heart Association, Montreal General Hospital, and the Jewish General Hospital.

The fonds largely document Dr. Segall's professional activities as a cardiologist. It contains correspondence, notes, experimental notebooks, lecture notes, articles, speeches, patients' records, electrocardiograms, reprints and material pertaining to the Louis Gross Memorial Lectures, 1922-1979. Also included are several electrocardiograph machines, dictation devices, and audio recordings (reel-to-reel tapes, dictation disks, and cassette tapes). In addition, the fonds contain records of Dr. Segall's personal and family correspondence, financial transactions, and various other official and unofficial documents.

The fonds consists primarily of letters written during World War I to Drake's sister Daisy Molson and sister's husband, John Dunham Molson. Letters are accompanied by transcriptions and biographical material prepared by Martha E. McKenna. Also included are newspaper clippings dated 1915-1918 on Drake and the Canadian Army Medical Corps hospital run by McGill, one pocket notebook documenting Drake's time with the CAMC in France from 1915-1916, and a membership card to the Royal Club for Ladies from Beyond the Seas, dated 1919.

Fonds contains two admission cards of Harry C. Cunningham for the year 1883, one for the course of Microscope in Medicine signed by Sir William Osler and one for a six month ticket to the Montreal General Hospital.
