Book of memoranda on road making and farming at Saint Gervais, 1799-1806.

Fonds contains a typewritten report signed by Martin to the Secretary of the Medical Board, Montreal General Hospital, dated February 1, 1944, in which Martin judges the Tumor Clinic at the MGH to be “Far below the standard set for similar clinics in American hospitals;” also includes envelope with address of Dr. Fraser B. Gurd.

Fonds contains five notebook kept by medical student S. J. Bennett while studying at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine. Each notebook is devoted to a subject of study, including one notebook each labelled "Medicine", "Bacteriology" and "Obstetrics" and two notebooks labelled "Pathology." The notes inside are dated between 1907 and 1908. The notes are organized in some cases by instructor and in some cases according to medical conditions.

Jeakins; My Old College by Stephen Leacock; 3 issues of McGill News (vol. 2 no. 4, 1921; vol. 25, no. 1, 1943; vol 31, no. 4, 1950); 2 reunion dinner programmes (1921, 1964); 1 Intercollegiate Football Champions dinner programme (1938); and 2 convocation programmes (1903, 1907).

Fonds consists of correspondence between Kipling and his wife and his father to Lockwood de Forest and his wife Meta, two drawings by Kipling, and the manuscript Traffics and Discoveries, 1904.

Collection includes the Minute Books of the Committee of Management of the Hospital, 1844-1926; a letter book, 1886-1896; Annual Reports 1887-1926; Medical Board Minutes, 1905-1918; Record of Pupil Nurses from R.V.H., 1908-1923; Annual Reports of the Auxiliary Board, Women's Pavillion, 1929-1943; Obstetrical and Gynaecological Report of the Royal Victoria Montreal Maternity Hospital, 1950-1960 and a copy of "Royal Victoria Montreal Maternity Hospital" by C.V. Barrett and J.R. Fraser, 1943.

A memorial, on parchment, records the laying of the cornerstone of the Royal Grammar School by Lord Metcalfe.

The fonds consists of books and other materials about Black people in history and contemporary society which Roy States collected from his teenage years to the end of his life. The materials are primarily English-language works produced during his lifetime, and the majority of them are from Canada or the United States. The physically largest series within the collection (Series B, Monographs) consists of 679 published volumes, most of them books and a smaller number of them booklets. These volumes are all catalogued individually, with a common sublocation of "Roy States Collection" within Rare Books and Special Collections. The remaining series contain a diversity of published, ephemeral, and unpublished materials, including various items by or about Roy States himself. Series A is a group of biographical materials and other items which relate directly to States. Series C consists of booklets and brochures. Series D consists of complete issues of newspapers, and Series E consists of complete issues of serials other than newspapers. Series F contains an assortment of newspaper and magazine clippings, as well as reprinted or photocopied extracts from books, journals and other works. Series G contains materials relating to conferences and meetings, chiefly involving groups and organizations advocating for civil rights; the materials include programs, agendas, minutes and reports, as well as the text of various speeches presented at these events. Series H consists primarily of graphic materials which have been mounted in cardboard-and-plastic display sleeves or in glass-fronted wooden frames. Series I is a group of miscellaneous materials such as studies, reports, typescripts, bibliographies and leaflets.
