This item is an octagonal wooden stamp depicting a shield with three martlets, topped by a crown, surrounded by three banners. The banners bear a variation of the McGill motto, "Grandescom aucta labore, in domino confido." Text around the edge of the block reads, "Universitas Collegii McGill, Monte Regio."
Flat, jointed wooden figures from Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Characters include: Red Queen, Alice, White Queen, Frog-Footman, Tweedledum, Bill the Lizard, Tweedledee, The Duchess, White Rabbit. Two unrelated figures also included in the same box: 1. Alice in Wonderland jointed wooden figure in painted costume of blue dress and white apron. Long Blond hair, 2. Jointed wooden figure of man in painted costume, red frock coat, yellow trousers with St. Frog? face.
Peg wooden jointed doll in red academic gown with black velvet trim (Oxford D.D.). Painted face. Possibly German or Dutch.
