The fonds contains two significant bodies of material representing the life of William B. Malloch. The original accession documents Malloch's life as a medical student at McGill and the links he kept with his alma mater, 1863-1870. These materials include admission cards, programmes, certificates, examination copies, newspaper clippings and an indenture of apprenticeship. The second body of contains medical instruments and documents from Malloch's professional life. A number of Indigenous artifacts collected by Malloch while travelling in the Artic regions of Canada were transferred to the McCord Museum (2024).
