        John Monro Gibson was a prominent Presbyterian minister and scholar who lived and worked in Montreal, Quebec, from 1864 to 1874. He is best known in the city for his leadership at Erskine Church (1864–1874) and his academic contributions to local theological education (Montreal Theological College, 1868-1874, where he was a Lecturer in Greek and Hebrew Exegesis, and taught the interpretation of biblical texts).
